Scarlett Johansson is an American actor and singer born in the city of New York, in the United States on the 22nd of November in 1984. Her acting has earned an acclaim in a diverse spectrum of genres such as the genres of period dramas, thrillers and action adventures. Johansson was the daughter of an architect as well as producer, was brought up within New York City. The twin brothers Hunter and she were the youngest siblings. Her interest began in acting at a young age and was auditioning for commercials before the age of seven. Soon after she enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and afterwards went to the Professional Children's School in Manhattan to further hone her craft. When she was eight, she appeared together with Ethan Hawke in the Off-Broadway production Sophistry, and at nine she made her film debut in Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson was next seen as a character in Just Cause (1996), but she was Manny & Lo 1996 that gave her her breakthrough. The film tells the story of two orphaned girls who run away. The Horse Whisperer (2000) where she was a teenager with a deformity because of an accident earned an acclaim from critics. After that, in Ghost World 2001 (as the teenager who is a cynical outcast Rebecca), Johansson gained an even greater amount of attention. Renee Felice Smith's journey in the world of entertainment started from a young age. As a child she became interested in performing. Smith got her first job acting at the age of 6 years old, through the support of her parents. Smith appeared in the Dannon TV commercial. In the same way as many young actresses she began her career in theatre. She took part in different projects in the USA in the midst of making her stage debut. She studied in Stonestreet Studios, the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
