Bashar Jackson, also known by his pseudonym Pop Smoke (July 20th 1999-February 19th 2020) was an American musician and rapper. Victor Victor Worldwide and Republic Records signed him. Pop Smoke gained acclaim for his Brooklyn drill sound after working in collaboration with UK drill producer 808Melo Axl Beats, Yoz Beatz and 808Melo Axl Beats. Welcome to the Party is the main track from the mixtape's debut album Meet the Woo that was released on July 19, 2019. The song is remixed and produced by American rapper Nicki Minaj as well as British musician Skepta. Both were released in the month of August, 2019. Pop Smoke's debut mixtape Meet the Woo was released by Pop Smoke in April 2019. The single Welcome to the Party is the main single. Then, in August 2019, two remixes of the track were made available. The first remix featured Nicki Minaj while the second included Skepta. The song was noted by its use of UK drill production later commonly found throughout his discography. This was due in part to his collaborations with British 808Melo producer. Some of his most well-known tracks include Mpr Flexin and Dior. After the success that was Welcome to the Party he worked with other well-known artists to create singles, such as: War featuring Lil Tjay and 100k on a coupe featuring Calboy. Gatti, the final track from the JackBoys album (2019) composed by Scott and Cactus Jack's fellow members as well as JackBoys was released in December 2019.
